Future Plan
Ensuring the practice of integrity in service delivery, encouraging innovation, providing effective services for customer satisfaction and service delivery will be digitized by 2021. By 2020, an integrated digital database of all service recipients of the Department of Social Services will be completed. By 2020, a development action plan will be formulated to implement the National Social Security Strategy by assessing the impact of social security activities.

 

Possible major achievements of 2019-20 financial year

Provision of old age allowance to 6,065 persons, widow and husband abuse allowance to 2,336 persons and indigent disability allowance to 1,505 persons and stipend to 110 disabled students;
25 lakh interest free micro loan will be provided through investment and reinvestment. So that self-employment, self-employment, poverty reduction and empowerment of low-income people and persons with disabilities can be achieved;
  • In order to improve the living standards of special sections of the society especially Hijras, Vedas and backward classes, the standard of living of individuals will be improved by introducing special allowances to 60 persons and education scholarships to 75 children;
Measures will be taken to bring them into the mainstream of development by analyzing the data of 2,133 persons with disabilities stored in the central database of the Disability Identification Survey;
All the beneficiaries of the upazila will be given allowance through e-payment through MIS software.
  • The number of beneficiaries of the project will be increased to improve the living standards of the marginalized people of Bangladesh.
