Major achievements of recent years (3 years)

Upazila Social Service Office, Upazila level office of Chitalmari Social Services Department. The Department of Social Services, as one of the nation building departments of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, is providing services to the destitute, poor, neglected, backward, disadvantaged, disadvantaged, backward and disabled people of the country. By turning these target groups into human resources, the Department of Social Services is playing an important role in the overall development of the country by providing poverty alleviation and social security. From the Upazila Social Service Office, Chitalmari in the last financial year, using its available resources and existing infrastructure and manpower, 5,532 elderly beneficiaries, 2,124 widows and husbands abused women beneficiaries and 1,303 indigent disabled beneficiaries. And a total of 6,959 beneficiaries, 94 students with disabilities have been given education stipends, all the beneficiaries have paid the allowances directly as a bank. 174 persons with disabilities have completed the issuance of identity cards. In the current financial year, all the beneficiaries under the district will be given allowance on e-payment. Construction of district social service complexes is also underway at the district level.
